Ultrasound Paracentesis Trainer

This ultrasound compatible trainer allows the user to perform paracentesis from diagnosis to draining simulated ascitic fluid from the peritoneal cavity in the abdomen. The anatomically correct trainer is positioned to simulate a patient sitting up at a 45 degree angle with a distended abdomen and includes the pubis symphysis, iliac crest, and umbilicus. The procedure can be performed at the midline below the umbilicus or medial to the umbilicus 4 to 5 cm above the anterosuperior iliac spine.
